After Acharya and Godfather, Megastar Chiranjeevi has delivered yet another box office dud with his recently released family drama, Bholaa Shankar. Trade analysts predict that this high budget entertainer will end up suffering a massive loss to the tune of over Rs 35-40 crore.
Meanwhile, Bholaa Shankar has bitten the dust entirely in the Nizam region. The film, on its first Sunday, collected a paltry share of just Rs 81 (excl GST) at the ticket counters across Nizam. The film’s total 3-day first weekend Nizam share is Rs 5.20 crore. Nearly Rs 22 crores are riding on Bholaa Shankar, and the film requires another Rs 17 crore to reach the break even mark which looks highly impossible.
Bholaa Shankar is an official remake of Tamil hero Ajith’s blockbuster action family drama, Vedalam. Following this latest setback, Mega fans who have been unhappy with Chiru’s remaking spree are now desperately hoping that the Megastar will only choose straight films from now on.
