This evening, a morphed image of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan went viral online. The picture, originally posted in 2011 from director Vijay Kanakamedala’s (Bhairavam, Naandhi) Facebook account, mocked Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Allu Aravind using a poster of Amitabh Bachchan’s Paa movie. The caption and the edited pic made mega fans furious, and they started to abuse the director.

Also, they started a boycott trend on Bhairavam, and within no time, the director took to his X and issued a clarification. Vijay Kanakamedala wrote, “Since the trailer launch of Bhairavam, there have been trolls on me. Mega fans have always supported me, but I learned they started trolling me, claiming I shared a post in 2011. Something went wrong. My account must have been hacked. I worked with many heroes and collaborated mostly with mega heroes.”

Vijay also wrote, “I worked for Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh. I share a good rapport with Sai Dharam Tej. Like everyone else, I came to the industry after watching Chiranjeevi Garu and Power Star Garu’s movies. Why would I alienate them? Somehow, that picture was posted on my handle. My account is hacked. I still take responsibility since it is my social media page. I will make sure that such things do not happen again. I sincerely apologize to mega fans.”
