Baahubali 2 wins a prestigious international award

Baahubali 2 has added yet another award to its tally, along with National awards and a bunch of Filmfare awards. The film was judged the Best International Film are the 44th Saturn Film Awards, which saw several big Hollywood films like Black Panther, Wonder Woman, and Star Wars win top honours.

The awards were announced on Wednesday night by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films at Castaway restaurant in Burbank, Calif. The Saturn Awards honor the best in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other genres.

Incidentally, Baahubali : The Beginning was nominated for five categories including Best Fantasy Film, Music, and Production Design, although it didn’t win in any of the categories. Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali 2 was produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, and it went on to become the second highest grossing Indian film at global box office, behind Aamir Khan’s Dangal. Baahubali 2 holds the record for being the biggest grossing film of all time in India.
