James Cameron’s Avatar franchise is returning with its third installment, Avatar 3: Fire and Ash, set to release globally on December 19, 2025 in multiple languages. Expectations are high as the series continues its journey on the planet Pandora.
The makers have released the first-look poster featuring Varang, a new character played by Oona Chaplin. In a key update, the first trailer of Avatar 3 will be shown exclusively in theatres with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps on July 25, 2025.
This follows a similar strategy used by Christopher Nolan, whose film The Odyssey had its trailer attached to Superman. It’s a growing trend in Hollywood to build early interest by launching major trailers alongside big theatrical releases.
Audiences in India and worldwide can catch the first glimpse of Avatar 3 by watching Fantastic Four in cinemas this weekend.
