Atlee is now one of the most sought-after directors in Indian cinema. With his debut Bollywood film Jawan, Atlee scored a Rs. 1000 crore grosser. He presented King Khan Shah Rukh in the best way possible, and ever since Jawan’s release, fans have been requesting Atlee to collaborate with SRK once again. Later, Atlee commenced a film with Salman Khan, but it got shelved due to budget constraints.
For a long time, Atlee has been planning to make a film with Icon Star Allu Arjun. Now that Salman’s film is no longer happening, Atlee shifted his focus to Allu Arjun’s film. However, the project is facing issues since Atlee is reportedly demanding a jaw-dropping Rs. 100 crore paycheck. Several producers were left speechless by Atlee’s demand since the amount quoted is usually given to big stars.
Given Pushpa 2’s earth-shattering success, Allu Arjun is also said to have increased his remuneration. Given his massive stardom, producers are willing to offer him a whopping remuneration, but they are thinking twice about paying Atlee a three-digit figure. Also, paying Rs. 100 crores to the director will substantially increase the film’s budget.
The news is that a few Kollywood producers who initially expressed interest in Atlee-Allu Arjun’s film have now backed out due to remuneration issues. We need to see who will take up this prestigious project and when it will start rolling.
