Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, two of the country’s biggest stars, shared the screen with each other in the blockbuster sci-fi drama, Kalki 2898 AD. While the duo is set to reunite for Kalki’s highly anticipated sequel, here comes a massive update.
As per the latest buzz in Bollywood circles, Deepika Padukone has been signed on to play the female lead in Prabhas’s silver jubilee film, Spirit. An official announcement in this regard is awaited. Apparently, Spirit director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has penned a strong character for Deepika, and the star heroine readily allotted her dates. Deepika has always been Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s first choice for the female lead.
Deepika recently signed the leading lady’s role in Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited actioner, King. Spirit will be going on floors in October this year. This high-voltage action drama is set to hit theaters in early 2027. T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Reddy Vanga jointly bankroll this prestigious project.
