Popular actor and former YSRCP leader Posani Krishna Murali was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police in connection with his derogatory comments on film star and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan. Posani was arrested in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, and was taken to Andhra Pradesh by road.
During the YSRCP reign in Andhra Pradesh, Posani had made several controversial comments against Pawan Kalyan. He went on to target Pawan’s personal life, which didn’t go well with many. In this scenario, a case was filed against Posani Obulavaripalle Police Station under sections 196, 353 (2), and 111 Red With 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The case was filed against Posani for using casteist slurs and attempting to divide the people and create unrest in the society. The cops will produce Posani before the Rajampeta Addl Magistrate on Thursday morning. Last year, Posani had announced that he was retiring from active politics and that he was no longer associated with any political party.
