Bollywood star Aamir Khan is gearing up to entertain audiences with the sports comedy-drama Sitaare Zameen Par, which is set to release on June 20. After this, the actor will start prepping for the Dadasaheb Phalke’s biopic, which will go on floors this year. Rajkumar Hirani will direct the biographical film.
According to an exclusive report in Pink Villa, Aamir and Hirani will likely work on the sequel to PK. The sci-fi comedy-drama was an industry hit in Bollywood. The movie received solid critical acclaim, and despite controversies it ruled the roots at the box office. At the end of PK, Ranbir Kapoor made an entry hinting at a possible sequel.
The above-mentioned report stated, “There’s a definite idea for PK 2, which Hirani, Abhijat, and Aamir are excited about, and they will revisit it after the Dadasaheb Phalke. It’s a plot that organically leads itself to a sequel, with Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, but the boat is far from sailing. Ranbir, too, is aware of the idea and is excited to play an alien.”
