Maverick director Mani Ratnam’s upcoming period drama Ponniyin Selvan 2, a sequel to Ponniyin Selvan 1, is in the news again. Trisha, Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi and others are the lead cast of this biggie, scheduled to release on April 28, 2023.
As announced, the makers have released the first single titled Aaganandhe from the movie today. Composed by AR Rahman, the soothing melody has the soulful vocals of Shakthisree Gopalan. Anantha Sriram penned beautiful lyrics. The usage of instrumentation is simply outstanding.
