What’s your reaction when you heard the script?
I heard it as a moviegoer, and I got connected to it instantly. Andhra King Taluka captures a beautiful emotion. Everyone experiences that emotion in their lives. There is no logic to the love showered by fans on movie stars. Why do they adore us so much? Are we eligible for the affection they show? Such questions always keep bothering me, and hence I connected to the story immensely.
Tell us about your character in the film.
It exactly portrays how a star’s life will be. Fans, craze, ups, and downs are part and parcel of a celebrity’s life. The conflict between the rich and the poor is shown from a commercial angle. Everything about the film is so good. Our film shows the adorable emotion between a star and his fan. That point will be fresh.
How was it working with Ram?
Ram gaaru is an extraordinary and energetic performer. You will definitely get goosebumps watching his action sequence during the interval. He completely lived in the character, and you will feel the same intensity on screen. Despite being such a big star, he performed a highly challenging scene that is truly tough to pull off. Every fan carries innocence and high energy, and Ram brought both these elements to life through his stunning performance.
Do you have combination scenes with Bhagyasri?
Yes. Ram garu and Bhagyasri garu shared superb chemistry in the film. Their love story brings back nostalgic memories and is truly heart-touching. The director has excellently showcased the nativity factor, paying great attention even to the minutest details. It clearly reflects the immense effort he has put into the film.
As a director and actor, are there any dream roles you’d love to play or stories you’ve always wanted to make?
Every filmmaker and actor will have that hunger. We always strive to make something new and tell good stories to the audience.
