Star heroine Keerthy Suresh’s long-delayed film Revolver Rita, directed by JK Chandru, is finally set to hit the big screens tomorrow in Tamil and Telugu. The actress is now busy participating in the promotions. In a Tamil interview, the actress expressed disappointment over audiences for not giving importance to women-centric films.
She said, “It’s a hard truth that our industry is a male-dominant one. Audiences’ perception also matters. For example, let’s say if your favorite hero film and your favorite heroine film release on the same day, audiences will of course watch the hero’s film. Only if the reports and content are good, people will come to watch female-centric films. There is no opening for our movies.”
Keerthy Suresh’s comments are rapidly going viral on social media. Revolver Rita also features Radhika Sarathkumar, Redin Kingsley, Ajay Ghosh, John Vijay, and others in key roles. Passion Studios and The Route jointly bankrolled this flick, whose music is composed by Sean Roldan. Can Keerthy deliver a hit with this flick? That remains to be seen.
