Teja Sajja is enjoying the massive success of his latest outing Mirai. With Manchu Manoj as the villain and Ritika Nayak as the female lead, the film is helmed by Kartik Gattamneni, who also served as the cinematographer. The movie, which has grossed around Rs. 130 crore, is back in the headlines for an interesting reason.
Early viewers complained that the popular romantic track Vibe Undi was missing from the film. The makers later clarified that it was excluded as they felt it might dilute the flow of the narrative.
Just ahead of its fourth weekend at the box office, the Mirai team revealed that the Gowra Hari-composed song has now been added to the film and is already playing in cinemas. Whether this move will give a boost to collections remains to be seen.
Mirai has also surpassed the $2.5 million gross mark in North America, becoming the second film in Teja Sajja’s career to achieve the feat. However, with Pawan Kalyan’s OG releasing this Thursday, the film’s collections may slow down. The strategic move may be part of Mirai’s plan to retain momentum amid OG fever.
