It looks like Sandalwood star Rishab Shetty of the blockbuster Kantara fame has signed yet another exciting project. As per the latest buzz, Rishab Shetty will be joining forces with acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, the genius behind the classics Lagaan, Swades, and Jodha Akbar.
Apparently, Ashutosh and Rishab will be uniting for a massive pan-India magnum opus based on the legacy of iconic Vijayanagara Emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya. The film will be bankrolled by noted Tollywood producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri of the NTR biopic, the Jayalalithaa biopic, and the Kapil Dev biopic.
Ashutosh is well known for making ambitious period dramas like Mohenjodaro and Panipat. He is keen on making the Sri Krishnadevaraya biopic on a massive scale. The film will feature several South Indian and Bollywood stars in prominent roles. More details about the project will be out soon. Rishab Shetty will next be seen in the two most eagerly awaited sequels, Kantara 2 and Jai Hanuman.
