Akshay Kumar’s recent outing, Housefull 5, is doing good business at the box office. The actor’s other franchise film, Welcome To The Jungle (Welcome franchise), has been in production for a long time, and fans have been eagerly waiting for its release and updates.
According to a report in Pink Villa, the project unexpectedly landed in a financial mess, leading to shoot cancellations. It is said that two to three schedules have been canceled to date, leaving the actors perplexed about the project’s development. Reportedly, 60 percent of the shooting is wrapped up, and 40 percent still remains to be done. There seems to be no clarity about the pending shoot.
The report mentioned, “There are also issues of non-payment of dues to the actors and their staff. It’s a big star cast of over 20 actors, and getting combination dates is a task. Initially, every actor was excited, but the cancellation of the shoot is iffy because the actors’ dates could have been allotted for another film or a brand. Akshay Kumar and other actors are awaiting clarity on the shoot schedules.”
Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome To The Jungle also features Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, and Lara Dutta in pivotal roles. The biggie is backed by Firoz Nadiadwala.
