Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj’s Retro is set to hit the big screens on May 1st. The last few theatrical releases of Suriya have disappointed fans and audiences, ending up as flop ventures. Fans have pinned high hopes on this Karthik Subbaraj’s directorial. The audio launch event is currently happening in Chennai.
During the event, the makers launched the much-awaited theatrical trailer. It doesn’t reveal anything about the story, but gives us a hint that the romantic action entertainer will be wacky with eccentric and amusing characters. Karthik Subbaraj moved away from the regular trailer template, and this strategy is sure to draw mixed reactions.
The technical values are pretty good, though. Suriya looks neat, and so does Pooja Hegde. Joju George, Jayaram, and Karunakaran played vital roles. Jyotika and Suriya produced Retro under the banner of 2D Entertainment. Santosh Narayan is the music composer.
