War 2 completed its first weekend with an average performance but failed to hold its ground at the box office in the crucial Monday test, a reality faced by many films. Jr NTR joined hands with Hrithik Roshan for a pivotal role, while Ayan Mukerji directed the film.

This spy-action drama struggled to rake in collections on Monday. It is estimated to have earned around Rs. 5.5 crore nett (Hindi version only) across the nation, marking a steep drop from Sunday to Monday.

How the film sustains at the box office in the coming weekend remains to be seen. However, trade analysts believe that it is likely to witness further drops in the days ahead. The simultaneous release Coolie is also facing a similar issue, though it is performing slightly better than this YRF production.

War 2 & Coolie Day 3 Worldwide Collections – See Which Film Leads the Box Office

This Independence Day weekend witnessed a massive cinematic showdown between two biggies – War 2 and Coolie. Both were released on August 14, 2025, amidst high expectations, and audiences were excited to catch both movies in cinemas.

Unexpectedly, both the movies received mixed reactions, with neither standing tall or clearly superior at the box office. However, audiences made their choices.

By the end of three days, the Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer spy action saga War 2 made around Rs. 210 crore gross, which is somewhat disappointing. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s Coolie is slaying with Rs. 325 crore and more gross at the global box office.

In ticket sales, both at the Indian and global box office, Coolie outshines War 2, even though it also received mixed reviews. War 2 lags behind by around Rs. 100 crore, despite being a YRF banner release.

Trade analysts expect Sunday collections to improve over Saturday, while Monday will pose the biggest test for both films.

War 2 saw the crazy collaboration between Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan and Tollywood star Jr NTR. They both led the spy action thriller, directed by Ayan Mukerji.

War 2 completed 3 days at the box office. Though it got mixed reception, the movie is still receiving love from audiences. For around 14,000 shows across the nation, the movie collected nearly Rs. 26 crore nett in the Hindi version on day 3, and the total is estimated to be around Rs. 96 crore, close to Rs. 100 crore nett.

As Sunday is here, being a holiday, the flick might see better footfalls than the other days. And with Monday being crucial, how much the movie will make is awaited.

The biggie also sees Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Bobby Deol in cameos, among others. Being a part of the YRF Spy Universe, the movie is expected to shine, though not a major hit like its prequel. Stay alert for more content in terms of collections on War 2.
