OTT: Jio Hotstar begins streaming blockbuster Mirai but there is a twist

The latest fantasy action-adventure Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, has turned out to be a mega blockbuster at the box office. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film grossed over Rs. 150 crores worldwide. Manoj Manchu portraying the antagonist.

The movie is now up for streaming on Jio Hotstar in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam audios, along with English subtitles. While the theatrical cut had a runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes, the OTT version is just 2 hours and 46 minutes long. Also the chartbuster Vibe Undhi Baby is missing in the digital version.

It remains to be seen which scene was trimmed for the digital version. The Hindi version is expected to arrive in November. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, the film also features Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaram, and Getup Srinu in key roles. Gowra Hari composed the music.

Teja Sajja has delivered another blockbuster with Mirai, cementing his status as a hit machine. The action-adventure fantasy drama has already crossed the Rs. 112 crore gross mark globally. Meanwhile, the movie has achieved another milestone, putting the young hero in the league of stars like Prabhas and Jr NTR.

Mirai has already collected over $2.5 million at the North American box office. This makes it the second consecutive movie of Teja Sajja to reach this figure, following Hanu-Man. Only Prabhas and Jr NTR have such a record in the USA, and the young actor has now joined this rare club.

Even with new releases in theaters, Mirai continues to draw audiences well into its third week. Teja Sajja’s Mirai even surprised the trade pundits with its sensational opening. The movie, directed by Kartik Gattamneni, is a fantasy action-adventure and stars Manoj Manchu as the antagonist. People Media Factory produced this flick. It was initially predicted that the film could earn somewhere between Rs. 23 crores and Rs. 25 crores.

Exceeding expectations, Mirai collected Rs. 27.2 crores gross, marking a dream start for any medium-range film. The all-India advances for day two are bigger than day one. Teja Sajja is cementing his position with each movie, and if he continues making more such good projects, he will reach great heights. The movie is poised to register phenomenal numbers over the weekend.

The team is being lauded for pulling off high-quality VFX with limited resources. Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram played key roles. Gowra Hari composed the tunes.
