A prequel in the works for Prabhas’ upcoming film?

Prabhas is now busy with multiple films, and one among them is Fauji. The biggie is being directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and is set against the pre-Independence era. The shoot is progressing at a brisk pace. Prabhas plays a soldier in this flick.

Latest media reports suggest that a prequel to Fauji is also in the works. Generally, most biggies will have a sequel, but a prequel is something that we don’t see more often. If the prequel really happens for Fauji, it will be interesting to see what Hanu Raghavapudi has up his sleeve.

It is further said that around 40% of the shoot is pending and that the makers are targeting an August 2026 release. Social media sensation Imanvi plays the female lead in this big-ticket entertainer, which is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty is essaying a crucial role.

Prabhas resumes The Raja Saab Shoot in Hyderabad

Tollywood star Prabhas has a solid lineup of movies, and the actor’s next release is The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi. The movie shooting was recently halted because of the union strike.

The issues were resolved, paving the way for smooth shootings in Tollywood. The Raja Saab shooting also resumed today in Hyderabad, and Prabhas has partaken in it.

Key sequences featuring him and other cast members will be canned in this schedule, which will last until the month-end. Reports say that the next schedule will happen in Kerala from September 17, 2025. It is said that Prabhas’ intro song will be filmed during this schedule.

After that, the team will fly abroad to shoot another two songs, which will mark the end of shooting.

Producer TG Vishwa Prasad confirmed that the film will be completed by the end of October 2025, with the team planning to release it on January 9, 2026, upon the request of distributors and well-wishers.

Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Nidhhi Agerwal play the female leads, while Sanjay Dutt appears as Prabhas’ grandfather. The Raja Saab is a blend of horror, comedy, and romance, promising a delightful treat for Prabhas fans.

One of Tollywood’s most beloved actors, Prabhas is gearing up to entertain his fans and moviegoers with The Raja Saab. Directed by Maruthi, this horror comedy marks the Telugu debut of Malavika Mohanan.

For the past few days, rumours have been circulating that The Raja Saab has been postponed from its confirmed release date: December 5, 2025. While fans await an update, producer TG Vishwa Prasad revealed the team’s current release plan in a recent interview.

He said they are planning to release the movie on January 9, 2026, to take advantage of the Sankranthi season, adding that it was a request from people involved in the film’s business. He also mentioned that Bollywood buyers are insisting on sticking with the December 5, 2025 release. A few songs and some patchwork are yet to be completed, the producer added.

According to the producers, the film is likely to be released in January, as the team removed the release date from Malavika Mohanan’s birthday poster.

Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, and Sanjay Dutt are the other key cast members of the film. Backed by People Media Factory, this high-budget horror comedy features music by Thaman.
