War 2 Day 3 Collections in India: Slows Down After Strong Start

Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR come together in War 2, a spy action drama directed by Ayan Mukerji. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the film also stars Kiara Advani in a key role.

The movie witnessed a sharp dip on Day 3 compared to the first two days. Reports indicate that the collections across the nation, in all languages, are estimated to be around Rs. 34 crore gross.

With Sunday ahead, it is expected that the movie might bounce back. However, with Coolie competing strongly, the collections may not roar as much as expected.

War 2 is a part of the YRF Spy Universe, which is now also connected to Alia Bhatt’s Alpha. The movie is close to the ₹150 crore mark, and it remains to be seen what more it will add to the total in the coming days.

Ticket Sales Prove Coolie Storms Ahead of War 2

The much-awaited Bollywood biggie War 2 and the highly anticipated Kollywood film Coolie hit the box office four days ago during the Independence Day weekend. Both movies, in what has become a massive cinematic showdown, have received mixed reactions from audiences and fans of the respective stars.

Both films opened with strong collections, but the buzz soon slowed down as they moved into Day 2 and Day 3. The numbers are fine, yet still fall short of expectations considering their massive budgets. With today being Sunday, the box office is expected to show stronger growth compared to the previous days.

Meanwhile, early reports suggest that Coolie is pulling ahead of War 2. In the last 24 hours on BookMyShow alone, Coolie sold 481.19K tickets (including 80.29K in Hindi), while War 2 managed 393.43K tickets in the same period. Even without the Hindi version, Coolie’s sales are significantly higher, clearly indicating that audiences are showing more interest in Coolie.

Sunday remains crucial for both films, as today’s numbers will determine which one can dominate the box office further.

Since no big films are releasing for the rest of the month, both Coolie and War 2 have room to keep running in theatres and add to their collections.

Rajinikanth’s Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Hrithik Roshan–Jr NTR’s War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, are in a tight box office race. We’ll have to wait and see how the numbers shape up in the coming days.

Nizam day 2 box office: Coolie races ahead of War 2

Two big-ticket entertainers, War 2 and Coolie, locked horns at the box office this Thursday. While Coolie took the lead over War 2 globally, the NTR and Hrithik Roshan starrer posted higher numbers than the Rajinikanth starrer in the Telugu states, thanks to NTR’s immense star power.

Although War 2 outperformed Coolie at the Nizam box office on opening day, the tables turned on day 2, with Coolie taking a healthy lead over the Bollywood spy action thriller. Coolie earned a distributor share of Rs. 3.7 crore, while War 2 collected Rs. 3 crore share on the second day.

In the Nizam region, the 2-day collections stand at Rs. 7.85 crore share for Coolie and Rs. 7.25 crore share for War 2. Today and tomorrow are expected to be crucial for both films. With a major national holiday just passed, trade pundits predict drops for both films. Let’s see how War 2 and Coolie will perform in these two days.
