Jurassic World Rebirth

Jurassic World Rebirth, the latest chapter in the dino-franchise directed by Gareth Edwards, has stormed past the Rs. 100 crore milestone in just 14 days.

Released in multiple Indian languages, including Telugu, the Scarlett Johansson-starrer has surprised many by pulling this off despite mixed reviews. But clearly, dinosaurs and Scarlett still have pulling power.

What’s helping? A weak box office run from James Gunn’s Superman, which has left more room for Jurassic World Rebirth to dominate screens and rake in more collections.

With momentum on its side, the film is expected to continue its solid theatrical run across the country.

Hollywood movie fans in India had plenty to cheer for in July 2025 with the release of two major titles, Jurassic World Rebirth and Superman. Both franchises have enjoyed long-standing popularity across the globe, and their fan base in India has only grown stronger over the years. That craze was clearly visible in the box office numbers.

Jurassic World Rebirth, which hit theatres on July 4, 2025, opened to mixed reviews. However, the strong buzz and the appeal of the 3D format helped it gross around Rs. 97 crore in its first 13 days. The film made approximately Rs. 70 crore in its opening week alone, and it is likely to end its theatrical run in India with a gross of around Rs. 105 crore.

Superman, directed by James Gunn, has also had an impressive start. In just six days, the film has grossed nearly Rs. 46 crore across India, including earnings from 3D screenings. Industry estimates suggest it could reach around Rs. 75 crore by the end of its run.

In the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Jurassic World Rebirth grossed close to Rs. 9.8 crore so far, while Superman earned around Rs. 6 crore.

One thing is certain. Both Hollywood films have managed to outperform regional releases in terms of buzz, audience turnout, and box office performance.
