Geetha Arts

A potential box office clash is on the horizon in Tollywood, as two powerhouse actresses, Rashmika Mandanna and Anushka Shetty, prepare for a theatrical face-off.

National Crush Rashmika Mandanna is currently enjoying a strong run of box office successes. Her upcoming film The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran, has been gaining momentum. The film’s first single, Nadhive, was released yesterday and has received a positive response. While there’s no official announcement yet, the release is almost confirmed for September 5, 2025.

Meanwhile, Anushka Shetty’s much-delayed film Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, is also reportedly targeting the same release date. However, confirmation from the makers is still pending.

If both films hit screens on the same day, it could lead to a major showdown at the Telugu box office. Interestingly, both are female-led projects, which adds more excitement to the potential clash.

Teja Sajja’s Mirai, originally slated for September 5, 2025 release, is likely to move to a later date. This development narrows the competition, putting the spotlight firmly on The Girlfriend and Ghaati.

Ghaati is produced by UV Creations in collaboration with First Frame Entertainments, while The Girlfriend comes from Geetha Arts and Dheeraj Entertainment.

Stay tuned for official announcements and more updates on this much-anticipated face-off.
