Coolie AP Nizam collections

Two big-ticket entertainers, War 2 and Coolie, locked horns at the box office this Thursday. While Coolie took the lead over War 2 globally, the NTR and Hrithik Roshan starrer posted higher numbers than the Rajinikanth starrer in the Telugu states, thanks to NTR’s immense star power.

Although War 2 outperformed Coolie at the Nizam box office on opening day, the tables turned on day 2, with Coolie taking a healthy lead over the Bollywood spy action thriller. Coolie earned a distributor share of Rs. 3.7 crore, while War 2 collected Rs. 3 crore share on the second day.

In the Nizam region, the 2-day collections stand at Rs. 7.85 crore share for Coolie and Rs. 7.25 crore share for War 2. Today and tomorrow are expected to be crucial for both films. With a major national holiday just passed, trade pundits predict drops for both films. Let’s see how War 2 and Coolie will perform in these two days.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 were released on August 14 amid sky-high expectations. Despite the intense box office clash and the mixed reviews, both movies managed to maintain a decent hold at the ticket counters.

At the domestic box office, on day 2 (Friday), War 2, with 745.05K tickets sold, surpassed Coolie’s (689.02K tickets) bookings on Book My Show in 24 hours. However, on day 3 (Saturday), Coolie has taken an early lead over War 2 with 12.55K tickets sold, while War 2 has sold about 9.61K tickets until the latest updates.

Coolie has cashed in on Rajinikanth’s craze and amassed over Rs 200 crore worldwide gross in 2 days. On the other hand, War 2 has entered the Rs 100 crore club on its day 2. Stay tuned to 123telugu for further updates on Coolie and War 2’s 2-day box office collection reports.

After a fantastic opening day, Rajinikanth’s Coolie maintained a strong hold on day two across all major territories. The gangster action drama surpassed the Rs. 200 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office. Since Coolie is a PAN-Indian film, all eyes were on the Hindi version’s performance from the very beginning.

While initial estimates predicted a Rs. 5–6 crore nett opening, the film debuted at Rs. 4.25 crore nett at the Hindi box office. On day two, Coolie’s Hindi version registered a 50% jump in business, collecting around Rs. 6.5 crore nett and taking its two-day collections to Rs. 10.75 crore nett. The growth was good on Independence Day, though it was somewhat muted due to mixed reports.

The film is now eyeing Rs. 20 crore nett over its extended four-day weekend. The Hindi version is performing best in single screens. The hold on the first Monday will be crucial in estimating the lifetime numbers. Without the clash with War 2, the Kollywood film would likely have performed even better in the Hindi heartland.
