Suriya is currently busy with the shoot of his 46th film, directed by Venky Atluri. However, his immediate release will be Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji. The rural action drama is expected to hit the big screens in early 2026.

Recently, rumors surfaced online that Geetha Govindham director Parasuram has been holding talks with Suriya. Now, the latest buzz suggests that another talented Tollywood filmmaker, Vivek Athreya, met the Kollywood star and narrated a script to him, which Suriya reportedly found interesting.

With speculations hinting at a positive response from the actor, fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation. Vivek Athreya’s last directorial, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, headlined by Nani and SJ Suryah, performed well at the box office. After Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, the director is said to have met Superstar Rajinikanth a few times to discuss a story, but the project didn’t materialize.
