Star heroine Rashmika Mandanna will soon be seen in the much-awaited youthful drama, The Girlfriend. The film also features Kannada actor Deekshith Shetty in a lead role, and it is directed by actor-director Rahul Ravindran.
The Girlfriend is scheduled for its theatrical release on November 14. Interacting with the media during a recent promotional interview, one of the film’s producers, Dheeraj Mogilineni, said that The Girlfriend is a love story set in a college and that the film will leave a deep impact on the audience. Dheeraj went on to say that Rashmika was so impressed with the film’s story that she signed the project without taking any remuneration.
“We are confident that The Girlfriend will strike a chord with young audiences, and it will surely succeed at the box office. We are going to offer Rashmika double the remuneration after the film’s release,” said the young producer. Vidya Koppineedi co-produced the film, while veteran producer Allu Aravind is presenting it under the Geetha Arts banner. The film is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
