Vishnu Manchu is betting big on his upcoming film Voter, which will also release in Tamil as Kural 388. Directed by GS Karthik, the film also stars Surbhi in a lead role.
Talking to a leading newspaper, Vishnu stated that Voter is going to be a bold film and that none of his contemporaries will do a film like this where they can point out what’s going wrong in the state’s politics and call out real-life politicians to take action.
“It’s a straight-forward film and we have named real-life politicians in it, and we are prepared,” Vishnu said, adding, “Nearly 75% people and politicians have forgotten the concept that a leader has to work towards the welfare of the people. Why should we take a step back and accommodate everything from corruption to lethargy? The main thing which we lack is accountability and that’s something which we have addressed in the film.”
