Virupaksha starring Sai Dharam Tej and Samyukta Menon in the lead roles, is up for a grand release tomorrow. Ahead of the release, the team conducted a press meet today in Hyderabad. One of the journalists asked whether it was due to the romantic scenes between the lead pair the film got an A certificate.
Sai Dharam Tej said that the film doesn’t have any vulgar scenes and added that family audiences could watch it. Director Karthik Dandu revealed that there are spine-chilling elements and a few gore scenes, due to which the Censor board has given an A certificate.
Producer BVSN Prasad took out the example of the Magadheera film, which also got an A certificate but not because of sexual content. The producer added that a few action blocks were the reason for the A certificate.
