In an old interview, Malavika Mohanan took a dig at Nayanthara, stating that the latter was wearing heavy makeup and perfect hair while filming a hospital scene. This has become viral at that point in time.
Nayanthara gave it back to Malavika during Connect promotions without taking out the Master actress’s name. Nayan said that the way a commercial cinema is made would be completely different from that of a realistic film. This reaction by Nayanthara grabbed public attention back then.
Now Malavika Mohanan is busy participating in the promotions of her Malayalam film Chirsty. During one of the interviews, she said that she doesn’t like the tag “Lady Superstar.” Malavika said that even lady actors could be addressed as Superstars just like male actors. She added that Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif are generally called Superstars.
Malavika mentioned that it would be enough if the female actors were called Superstars and added that there is no need for the term Lady Superstar. It is known to all that Nayanthara is referred to as Lady Superstar, and hence these latest words of Malavika have gone viral.
