The Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Federation has taken a drastic decision that has become a hot topic in Tollywood circles. Starting tomorrow, the federation workers have called for a strike, and all the film shootings will come to a sudden halt starting tomorrow (Aug4).
The federation today issued a press note, stating the reason behind the call for strike. As per the statement, the federation has been demanding a 30 percent hike in the remuneration of its employees for a long time. The press note also stated that the federation workers will only attend the shootings of those producers who will agree to their 30 percent hike demand.
This strike will surely impact several high and low budget movies, including the upcoming releases. Apart from feature films, the strike will affect even web series and other productions, along with other language film shootings. The Telugu Film Producer’s Council is assessing the situation, and efforts are underway to resolve the issue amicably and resume shootings at the earliest.
