Star heroine Rashmika Mandanna has now come up with an intense romantic drama, The Girlfriend. The movie directed by Rahul Ravindran hit the big screens yesterday. Kannada actor and Dasara fame Deekshith Shetty played the male lead. The movie received mixed reviews from critics.
The Girlfriend started on a fair note at the overseas box office. In North America, The movie earned $125K as per the latest update, and interestingly the day one numbers are much bigger than the premieres. It looks like this Rashmika Mandanna starrer will have a good run in the international markets given its urban appeal.
The Girlfriend is produced by Vidya Koppineedi and Dheeraj Mogilineni under the banners of Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment and Geetha Arts. Allu Aravind is the presenter, and Hesham Abdul Wahab is the music composer. Rao Ramesh and Rohini played key roles.
