On December 1, 2025, a biopic on the legendary Indian director V. Shantaram was announced. Siddharth Chaturvedi is portraying the role of the visionary filmmaker, who is one of the greatest directors in Indian history. Titled V. Shantaram, the movie is back in the headlines as the makers have officially announced the female lead of the film.
Star heroine Tamannaah Bhatia is playing the role of actress Jayashree, who acted in the director’s films and was also his second wife. The first look of the character that was revealed gives vintage vibes. The movie is also said to have veteran actor Fardeen Khan in another important role.
Directed by Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande, the movie is a proud production of Rahul Kiran Shantaram, Subhash Kale and Sarita Ashwin Varde. The technical team is strong, with A.
