Indo-Hollywood actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be making a comeback of sorts on the Indian silver screen with the most eagerly awaited biggie of the Indian film industry – Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s pan-international action adventure thriller, tentatively titled SSMB29. Priyanka’s last Indian release was the 2020 drama, The Sky Is Pink.
However, Priyanka prefers to call SSMB29 not just her comeback in Indian cinema but her homecoming. In a recent interview with India Today, while promoting her recently released Hollywood action thriller ‘Heads of State,’ Priyanka revealed how much she misses Indian cinema. “I miss Hindi movies, and I miss India so much.” She added that she’s thrilled to be working in India again, as “I’m working in India this year, and I’m really excited about that,” said the star actress.
Priyanka went on to say that she is thrilled to work in SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli. SSMB29 also features Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran in a lead role. The film is reportedly being made with a whopping budget of Rs 1,000 crore. The film’s next schedule is expected to take place in Kenya.
