SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s much-talked-about globetrotting film, known for now as SSMB29, is moving fast on the production front. The team is wrapping up the climax portions, and while that’s happening, they’ve also locked the film’s official title. It’s going to be unveiled on November 15, 2025, at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, and the makers are planning to go all out for it.
Jio Hotstar has picked up the rights to stream the event in India. But Rajamouli’s reach is way beyond the country, and the team seems pretty aware of that. To make sure fans overseas, especially those in the US, don’t miss out, they’ve tied up with Variety, the well-known entertainment publication. Variety will carry the livestream on its YouTube channel at 8:30 AM ET / 5:30 AM PT. The link is already up, but it’ll go live only at the scheduled time.

Expectations around the title reveal and Mahesh Babu’s first look are running high, and speculation is all over social platforms. One of the strongest guesses is that the film might be called Varanasi, but the final word will come only when the massive 100-foot LED screen at Ramoji lights up during the event.
Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran are also part of the cast, and the early posters featuring them have already gained decent traction. KL Narayana is producing the film, with MM Keeravani composing and PS Vinod handling the cinematography. The team is aiming for a wide release in several Indian and international languages sometime in 2027.
