Even as Pathaan continues to run successfully in cinemas, the film’s production house, Yash Raj Films, has just re-released its iconic romantic musical, SRK and Kajol’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, to celebrate the Valentine’s week. Urging all DDLJ fans, Yash Raj Films’ Twitter handle tweeted, “Blockbusters of 2 eras – #DDLJ and #Pathaan are here! This Valentine’s week, witness the grandness in cinemas near you! (sic)”
And none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself has responded to this tweet with his trademark sense of humor. “Arre yaar itni mushkil se action hero bana….and you guys are bringing back Raj…uff!! This competition is killing me!!!! I am going to see #Pathaan …Raj toh ghar ka hai (sic),” the King Khan tweeted.
Released in 1995, DDLJ was a massive success at cinemas in India and abroad. The film is still one of the all-time highest grossing Bollywood movies (inflation adjusted). On the other hand, with nearly Rs 465 crore nett, Pathaan has emerged as the highest grossing Bollywood movie ever and is now eyeing the lifetime collection of Baahubali 2 (Rs 511 Cr nett).
