Kuberaa is Dhanush’s next big release. Starring Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna in other crucial roles, Sekhar Kammula’s socio-political thriller is set for a grand theatrical debut on June 20, 2025.
The movie’s pre-release event was held in a grand manner at JRC Convention, Hyderabad, with the mighty SS Rajamouli attending as the chief guest.
Speaking about Kuberaa and director Sekhar Kammula, Rajamouli said, “Sekhar Kammula is humble and stubborn at the same time. He sticks to his rules. Once he believes in something, he never compromises. I truly admire that. We’re opposite in our approaches—he makes films based on his beliefs, I don’t. Still, I have great respect for him.
Can’t believe he’s been in the industry for 25 years. I thought he was my junior, but he’s actually a year senior. And he hasn’t changed – still true to his ideals.
The Kuberaa combo – Nagarjuna garu, Sekhar garu, and the title, felt instantly exciting. Then came Dhanush, what a fantastic addition! The glimpse blew me away. Nagarjuna in a rich world, Dhanush in a poor one, and no story revealed—that’s smart storytelling. It feels like a suspense drama.
