Pan-Indian mythological drama Shaakuntalam, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release globally on February 17, 2023, in 5 Indian languages.
The makers released the theatrical release today and the star actress got emotional while the director Gunasekhar talked about the cast and crew’s hard work for Shaakuntalam. Later Samantha addressed the media and thanked Gunasekhar for choosing her to play the Shakuntala character.
Samantha heaped praise on Gunasekhar by saying how passionate he is towards making a film, especially Shaakuntalam. The film is a magical world created by Gunasekhar, said Samantha. She also mentioned Dil Raju as a passionate producer and thanked him for backing the biggie. She also thanked the entire unit for giving their best to make Shaakuntalam a great experience.
The pan-Indian drama has Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Aditi Balan, Gauthami, Ananya Nagalla, Kabir Duhan Singh, Baby Allu Arha and others in other prominent roles. The Manisharma musical will be out in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada in 2D and 3D formats.
