Suriya’s critically acclaimed film Soorarai Pottru struck gold at the National Awards 2022. The movie is being remade in Hindi, and Akshay Kumar is reprising Suriya’s role. Sudha Kongara, who helmed the original, is also directing this remake version.
The movie was initially scheduled to hit the big screens on September 1, 2023. But the latest update is that the movie’s release has been postponed to February 16, 2024. There has been some heavy criticism regarding Akshay’s continuous releases of late, and hence the makers decided to postpone the release.
The title of the movie is yet to be announced. Paresh Rawal and Radhika Madan are essaying crucial roles. Suriya is playing a cameo. The movie is produced together by Suriya, Jyotika, Aruna Bhatia, and Vikram Malhotra.
