Anurag Kashyap’s noir thriller Kennedy, starring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone, has finally secured a digital release after more than two years of uncertainty. The film will debut on the newly introduced ‘Letterboxd Video Store’ on December 10, 2025, but with a twist.

The catch now is that Letterboxd Video Store is not launching in India. The service will be available only in select countries such as the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia and parts of Europe, leaving Indian viewers without legal access for the moment. Rental pricing for Kennedy has not yet been announced.

Kennedy first premiered at Cannes 2023 in the Midnight Screenings section, where it earned strong critical acclaim for its bleak tone, sharp craft and Rahul Bhat’s performance. It later screened at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, reinforcing its status as one of Kashyap’s most talked-about recent works.

The story follows a former police officer who is officially declared dead but continues to operate as a covert enforcer for a corrupt system. Unable to sleep and burdened by guilt, he moves through a violent landscape where he cannot distinguish redemption from manipulation. Sunny Leone appears as Charlie, whose life intersects with his within this underworld.
