Rajinikanth's-Narasimha

Padayappa (Narasimha in Telugu) is the favorite Rajinikanth film for many. Soundarya played the female lead, while Ramya Krishnan essayed the antagonist. The iconic entertainer, directed by KS Ravikumar, is getting re-released on December 12 to celebrate the Superstar’s birthday.

Rajini is promoting the film now, and he has officially confirmed that a sequel to Padayappa is in the making. He said, “We are planning Padayappa 2, which will be titled Neelambari. Currently, the story discussion is going on. I penned the story for Padayappa. As far as I know, Padyappa was the film for which ladies broke the theatre gates to watch it.”

Rajini added that he will give an update if the script comes out well. Thalaivar also stated, “The story of Padayappa is mine, and I produced this movie using my friends’ names. I was inspired by Kalki’s Ponniyin Selvan for the character Nandhini. For Neelambari’s role, Aishwarya Rai initially came to mind. We tried a lot, but she was not interested. Then Ramya Krishnan joined the film.”
