Dulquer Salmaan’s period drama Kaantha, directed by Selvamani Swaraj and featuring Bhagyashri Bose, Samuthirakani and Rana Daggubati, arrived in theatres last month. Despite strong performances from the lead cast, the film could not draw enough footfall during its theatrical run.
The movie is now set to find a new audience on OTT. Netflix has confirmed that Kaantha will premiere on December 12, 2025, in Telugu and Tamil. The team is also preparing for a wider digital rollout. The Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi versions are likely to arrive soon, and the platform is expected to make an official announcement on these languages shortly.
