The Punjab Kings scripted a historic victory in a do-or-die eliminator IPL match against the Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad last night. PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer led his team to the finals with a scintillating 87 runs off 41 balls knock.
And India’s numero uno director, SS Rajamouli, is mighty impressed with Iyer’s destructive innings. Rajamouli also left a touching note for Virat Kohli, the star batsman of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which will face the PBKS in the finals on June 3. “On the other hand, it is Kohli… who is performing year on year… compiling thousands of runs. The final frontier for him… He deserves it too,” he added. Whatever the result… it’s going to be a heartbreak,” the maverick director concluded.
