Dhanya Balakrishna is a noted name among the Telugu audiences with films like Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Raju Gari Gadhi, Nenu Sailaja, and Jaya Janaki Nayaka. While promoting her new film, Krishna Leela, Dhanya made a big statement by saying that she didn’t succeed much as she avoided glamorous and intimate roles.
“In the initial days, I used to compare myself to others and feel sad. I think we shouldn’t blame the people beside us. I might have made wrong choices. I come with my own restrictions. The blame is on me. I was offered more glamorous roles, but I said no to them. Also, I rejected roles that involved extreme intimacy. Hence, I lost a few opportunities,” said the actress.
Dhanya Balakrishna added, “I was born into a middle-class family. My father is a banker, and my mother is a housewife. I came from an orthodox family, and I had to convince my parents by explaining to them how passionate I am about acting. At first, I played many small characters, and later I was given heroine roles. I feel this is my success.”
