Acclaimed director Gowtam Tinnanuri’s recently released pan-India action drama, Kingdom, is doing well at the box office. The makers of the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer have announced that the film has amassed a cool Rs 67 crore within three days of its release.

Gowtam Tinnanuri interacted with the media as part of the film’s post-release promotions. During the interaction, he opened up about his shelved project with Tollywood top star Ram Charan.

“I had narrated a storyline to Ram Charan, and he liked it very much. I developed that story idea into a full-fledged script and felt that it wouldn’t match Ram Charan’s image. Directing a star like Ram Charan is a one-time opportunity, and I didn’t just want to make any random film with him. I told him the same, and we mutually decided to collaborate on the right project,” said Gowtam.

Kingdom, also starring young beauty Bhagyashri Borse, Satyadev, and Venkitesh in lead roles, is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music.
