The suspense surrounding Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam has come to a close. After a tense few days, the Madras High Court has approved the film’s release following an internal settlement between Eros International and 14 Reels Plus.
With both sides reaching a mutual resolution, the release now moves forward and awaits only local financial clearances along with pending payments from distributors. The team is finalising the last steps to position the film for a major launch on December 12, 2025.
The producers have also resubmitted requests for higher ticket pricing and permission to hold paid premieres on December 11, 2025, in Telugu states. An official release date announcement is expected later today and fans are watching closely.
Now that the legal roadblocks are addressed, the makers are preparing to push promotions again. Boyapati Sreenu directs the film which stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha, Kabir Duhan Singh, Poorna and Harshaali Malhotra with Thaman handling the music.
