Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan 2, has officially launched his 32nd film, titled Genie, this morning in Chennai. The movie is said to be the costliest film in the actor’s career and marks the directorial debut of Bhuvanesh Arjunan.
Noted production house Vels Films International is producing this movie on a massive scale, with Kalyani Priyadarshan, Krithi Shetty, and Wamiqa Gabbi signed on to play the female leads opposite Ravi. A title poster has also been released alongside the project announcement.
The entire team attended the grand launch event, and pictures from the event are now circulating online. The film, which has Oscar winner AR Rahman on board to compose the music, will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Production is expected to begin very soon and more details will be announced soon.
