Sandalwood actor Rishab Shetty became more popular with Telugu audiences after Kantara released in 2022. Before that, he was mostly known to cinephiles who watch films in other languages. Kirik Party introduced him to some Telugu viewers. Now, he is popular across the Telugu-speaking states, and the excitement for his new film, Kantara: Chapter 1, proves it.
After the film’s release and strong response, Rishab took to X to reflect on his journey. He remembered how hard it was to get even a single show for his directorial debut, Ricky (2016). Now, Kantara: Chapter 1 has more than 5,000 shows, a huge success from very humble beginnings. He thanked everyone who supported him along the way.
The Kantara prequel is expected to do great at the box office this weekend. Hombale Films produced the film on a large scale, and Ajaneesh Loknath created its soundtrack.
