Deepika Padukone scripts history; Becomes the first Indian to achieve this feat

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has created history by becoming the first Indian actor to be honored with a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, class of 2026. The announcement was made by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in a livestream. Deepika joins popular stars Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, Demi Moore, and others to receive this special honor in the motion pictures category.

With this special recognition, Deepika continues to represent India on the global stage, apart from her Hollywood collaborations, global endorsements, and appearances at various reputed film festivals and entertainment events. Among her illustrious global recognitions, Deepika was named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2018 and went on to receive the TIME100 Impact Award. She was also chosen to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy at the 2022 final in Qatar.

On the work front, Deepika is currently working on Allu Arjun and Atlee’s highly anticipated sci-fi adventure magnum opus, tentatively titled AA22XA6. Deepika will also be seen in the Kalki sequel, in which she co-stars with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan.
