After three decades, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam joined hands for the gangster action drama Thug Life, which is set to release this Thursday. The movie also stars Simbu in another lead role. Because of Kamal Haasan’s comments about the Kannada language, the movie is all over the news.
However, the biggie didn’t succeed in exciting Telugu audiences. The advances for the Telugu dubbed version are below par everywhere, including the Hyderabad city. The team went all out by conducting grand events in Vizag and Hyderabad, but Thug Life isn’t making the expected noise in Tollywood.
For the film to earn good bucks here, public talk now plays a key role. Even the Tamil Nadu bookings aren’t great, which is surprising for this combination. Interestingly the momentum in overseas is completely contrasting. Trisha, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, and Ashok Selvan played key roles. A.R. Rahman is the music composer.
