With just two days left for release, Balayya’s much discussed Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is gearing up for a massive opening at the box office. The mass action drama with devotional elements is directed by Boyapati Sreenu, with Samyuktha in the lead role.
The film is set to arrive on December 12, 2025, and the response to advance bookings in the USA has been exceptional. Within the first six hours of sales, Akhanda 2 crossed 125 thousand dollars in North America pre-sales, the fastest ever for a Telugu title. More than 7,200 tickets were snapped up in the same period, confirming the strong global anticipation for the sequel.
In Andhra Pradesh, bookings are opening in phases. In Telangana, ticket sales are yet to begin, although they are expected to go live later this evening.
Premieres start tomorrow and fans are waiting to catch Balayya’s Aghora incarnation on the big screen. The pan Indian project features Aadhi Pinisetty, Kabir Duhan Singh, Poorna and Harshaali Malhotra. Produced by 14 Reels Plus, the sequel releases in 3D, with music composed by Thaman.
