Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is closing out 2025 as Tollywood’s final big release, and the buzz around it has picked up well. The teasers and trailer did their job, pulling viewers in and setting the tone for a proper mass outing. With Akhanda (2021) still remembered fondly and the Balakrishna–Boyapati Sreenu combination carrying strong recall, the sequel already has a head start.

This time, the team seems to push the devotional angle even further, while still sticking to the commercial base that worked earlier. Every promo hints at this mix. Since there are no major releases lined up until Sankranthi 2026, the film has turned into a safe and attractive bet for distributors and exhibitors across the Telugu states.

The team is confident about how the film plays, both in Telugu and in Hindi. They have lined up special premieres a night early, which usually signals strong belief in the material. If the film clicks as expected, it should hold well through the first few weeks of December because it reaches theaters with a wide, clean window.

What the makers need now is one more round of sharp promotions to build on the buzz already created. Advance bookings are set to open, and early signs point toward solid day one numbers.

The film features Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty, Kabir Duhan Singh, Poorna and Harshaali Malhotra. Produced by 14 Reels Plus, the sequel arrives in multiple languages and also in 3D. Thaman scores the music.
