Teja Sajja

Teja Sajja’s Mirai is slated for a grand release tomorrow. The fantasy action entertainer directed by Karthik Gattamenin features Manoj Manchu as the antagonist. TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad produced this flick under People Media Factory. Ahead of the release, Teja Sajja interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

Since Mirai is releasing after HanuMan, do you feel any pressure?

Not at all. To be frank, I was more nervous during HanuMan’s release. I don’t take success to my head. I always aim to provide good films to the audience. Every film is special in its own way. I make sure to give my best to all my films.

Did you make changes to Mirai after HanuMan’s result?

No, we haven’t. The intention was not to go PAN India, but to remain rooted in the storytelling. Our first preference is always the Telugu audience. Mirai is made for the Telugu diaspora. If the film strikes a chord with other language audiences, we will be more elated.

Could you tell us about your character in the film?

It’s about a normal guy who realizes his goals and his connection with the Yodhas, going the extra mile to stop a major problem. The mother’s emotions and Ithihas drive the protagonist’s journey in Mirai.

What’s special about Manoj Garu’s role?

He portrayed a powerful role with a deep philosophy. His character is someone who has seen almost everything in life and possesses the power of destruction, making him tough to defeat. We approached Manoj Garu because of the weight of the characterization, and he was immensely excited to take on the part.

How is Lord Ram connected to Mirai?

The devotional angle in Mirai feels natural, not forced. The connection to the Ithihasas blended organically in the story. Though it lasts for a short duration, it will create a strong impact. Also, there are a couple of surprises in the movie that the audience will get to know tomorrow.

What can the audience expect from Mirai?

Mirai is a clean family entertainer. It is a mix of action, adventure, fantasy, emotion, and devotional aspects. Mirai will be liked by one and all. Mainly, the film will appeal more to kids. The theatrical experience will be extraordinary. We aimed to offer a film on international standards.

Could you tell us about your future projects?

When I commit to a film, my whole concentration will only be on it till the release. My aim is to earn credibility among the audience. Before asking people to come to the theatres, I must be confident in the product. As of now, I gave my nod only for Zombie Reddy 2.
